- Insert eight M3 nuts into the four Y-axis linear bearing holders
- Secure the linear bearing holders to the acrylic Y-axis platform using eight M3x10 bolts
- Insert four linear bearings into the linear bearing holders
- Slide a 394 mm smooth rod (2 dots) through one bar clamp on the frame, followed by the linear bearings, and lastly through the other bar clamp
- Repeat step 4 for the remaining 394 mm smooth rod (2 dots)
- Tighten the bar clamps on the rods
- Ensure that the acrylic plate can slide freely along the entire length of the frame. If the plate binds anywhere, adjust the bar clamps
This blog is intended to serve as a simple, straight-forward guide for building and using your own 3D printer. I created and continually update this blog for a simple reason: the current state of 3D printing is confusing and I feel that this discourages new enthusiasts.
